President's Message

President - Roorkee Adventist College

Established in 1927 as an Adventist Training School of Seventh day Adventist. Since 1969 the school was affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. The aim of the Inter College during this period has been mainly to provide quality education to the masses. In 2001 the Adventist Accrediting Association permitted the upgrading of the Inter College into an institution of higher learning, the Roorkee Adventist Community College.

The Seventh day Adventist Philosophy of Education promotes the development of the ‘physical, intellectual, spiritual and social aspects’ of an individual. The college in all its programs and curriculum promotes these features of education. A person to be successful needs more than knowledge to compete the world today. The institution believes and desires that all students who pass through this college must learn more about themselves, their relationship with God and humanity. They need to bear themselves with dignity and gain the best knowledge of the subjects that they have selected or offered.

Till 2006 at this end, the Roorkee Adventist Community College offered associate degrees in various fields of learning to help the excluded and unemployed students to get them dignified and sustainable jobs through the courses offered to them.

Roorkee Adventist College now has the accreditation of the Adventist Accreditation Association and affiliation of the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. The college has resolved to offer regular degree programs in science, management, commerce and information technology and other courses.

The College exhibits the best traditions of Adventist education and provides the services of dedicated and experienced faculty. The campus is aesthetically built. Roorkee Adventist College makes a difference in the life and career of each student enrolled for their education.
